Self-Referral

If you are experiencing thoughts or urges towards children that concern you, SafeCheck provides a voluntary, structured pathway into monitoring and accountability.

What participation involves

Registration: You register with your real name, date of birth, and contact details. SafeCheck is not anonymous.
Consent: You complete a multi-layered consent process acknowledging the programme conditions, including conditional confidentiality.
Intake assessment: You complete a structured assessment covering the nature, frequency, and intensity of your thoughts, your triggers, and your behavioural history.
Stage allocation: A Risk Assessor reviews your assessment and assigns you to a programme stage.
Daily check-ins: You complete structured daily check-ins tracking urge intensity, triggers, and your sense of control.
Ongoing monitoring: Your check-ins are reviewed by trained staff who track patterns and intervene when needed.

What SafeCheck is not

  • SafeCheck is not therapy. It does not replace clinical mental health support.
  • SafeCheck does not provide legal advice or any protection from prosecution.
  • SafeCheck is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger of harming yourself or someone else, contact emergency services on 999.
